Hi my first post here so hi to all and thanks in advance, i am hoping to get some info regarding changing around our kitchen and bathroom, locating the kitchen on the first floor and bathroom/toilet ground floor
at the moment to the rear we have a soil pipe but due to pipe placement we would be going into the other drain which currently takes the kitchen waste and gutter which is an open gully
is it possible to run toilet waste into this drain perhaps with a vented substack?
i can probably provide pictures to help explain
i am guessing this depends on the nature of the drainage but if anyone has any ideas that would be a great start
best regards
JJ

Would be much better with pictures but it doesn't sound like you can do what you seem to be proposing. The new WC needs to go to the soil stack you can't run it to an open gully. This is also building control notifiable work.
