Just a quick one,

Installing a 'L' shaped lintel onto the external leaf of the wall as there isn't one. (old house!) The current Damp Proof Membrane is a lead sheet inserted above the internal concrete lintel and runs downwards as you would expect under the last course of bricks outside.

Now do I cement the new lintel then mould the lead sheet over the new lintel then brick on top? How hard is it to shape lead into this shape as well?

Or fold the lead underneath the new lintel which looks a bit messy?

Thank you ahead

The lead is not a DPC, it functions as a cavity tray to prevent any water getting to the inside leaf

If goes over the lintel and you can cut it to fit better as necessary

And don't forget the weep holes
