Hi All,
I have moved in to a new house, built 1983/4.
I have a number of these drains where either gutters discharge in to or kitchen waste pipes.
Some are cemented where the pipe goes in, but one is not and I'm concerned about it blocking with leaves.
They look to be clay with a removable cover, presumably to unblock them if they get blocked?
Anyone know how you fill the open part with cement without it blocking the drain, or better still a grate which will cover it to stop the leaves blocking the drain?

Spent a couple of hours on google but couldn't find anything that looked the same.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for that, wasn't sure if there was something special I needed to do. I'll add it to the list of jobs. :) cheers.

You should fit a gully grate, that concrete is a bodge.
I would prefer to put a gully grate on but i can't find the right size. 6"x6" is all i can seem to find. Do you know where I can find the correct size please?
