I have a couple of questions about our upvc windows but i'll raise a separate post for each as they are different.
We have upvc windows, each of them have two little holes at the bottom on the outside which are about the same size as a tic-tac sweet i.e. about the size you see on the screen below:

Reading a previous post suggests these are drain vents.
Most of them are just open while there are a couple that have what looks like a little white button attached.
The other houses have these buttons on all.....just wondering if the buttons are really necessary or do i need to get them for all the holes?
