Drainage pipe - where to get it

Hi all,

can the "man in the street" buy that (purple?) pipe that you often see coiled up next to roadworks? I think it might be gas pipe, but wondered whether it might be any good for drainage as well.

you can get it, you need a white van, yellow flashing light, hi vis jacket, go help yourself

it will be of no use to you though. its got no holes in it, purple is for motorway lighting cables, dont want water in there
