I'm wanting to drain my central heating to change some pipework in my kitchen. When draing before I cut the pipes do I need to open all the air vents on the rads or could I leave these shut. Will the water stay in the radiators because of air lock?

If you want to drain the central heating system yes you will have to open the bleed vents. What pipework are you altering exactly?

the flow and return pipework in the kitchen as I'm having a new kitchen fitted I need to alter this pipework so it falls in the new boxing in. So I'll have to drain all rads aswel?

It depends where you are going to cut into them and your pipework layout but you will have to drain down any pipework which is higher than the section you are going to work on.usually best to drain whole system.

just got another question about new time clock its one were you push the black tapets outto set the time after I have set this do i set it to auto or on to run on the times I have set?
