I'm looking to attach a hose to a rad valve to drain down the system since there isn't a drain valve. Which fitting should I get to attach to the rad which will connect to a hose.

Depends on the valves thread. Many are 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch BSP.

It's a type of thread, British Standard Pipe thread = BSP.
Show us a pic of the rad valve that you intend to drain from.

Looks like half inch. Buy a 1/2 inch to 15 mm flexible tap connector hose. You will need a short piece of 15mm copper pipe too.
The 1/2 inch is female thread ,connects to valve. The 15 mm end you fit a piece of 15 mm pipe to. Your hose then pushes onto the pipe ,and secure with a jubilee clip ( also called a hose clamp)

Any pics of it? I've an idea what you mean but pic would be great

Have a look on Screwfix site ,their code 6768G is a flexible tap connector, about £2 each.
I assume you don't need a pic of a piece of copper pipe and a hosepipe ?
