Looking for a smarter way to manage your heating this winter? We’ve been testing the new Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600 to see how quiet, accurate and easy it is to use around the home. Click here read our review.
Can you drain the entire system by opening up just one (the lowest?) valve on the lowest radiator (also presumably one other valve to let air in)? or do you need to drain each rad individually?
If the pipework to ground floor radiators comes from above ,only the radiator that you drain from would empty, the other ground floor rads will still be full.
I mentioned in another thread, but there might have been too many steps in the question
Basically I want to be able (or at least say want to have the procedure ready to be able to) to drain enough to put some cleaner in (maybe 2L?), leave 48 hours, then completely drain and refill (probably using jugs of tap water -- would have to measure how much came out in the complete drain) and include some inhibitor
Standard 2 story house, no immersion heater and no tank in the loft, the water is pumped from an oil fuelled boiler just outside the house on the ground
tbh if people didn't want to comment about this because it would take money away from their next job I guess I could understand that
