draughts in a house

how common is draught in a house. i have just closed the lounge door and the flow of air coming through the gap seems a lot. i am sure this is probably an occurance even in new houses.

any idea what i can do to improve the situation. here are some things i have done. we have double glazed front/back door and most of the windows are done.

points where air could be getting in - a sash window in the bathroom which is very leaky. the loft hatch is ok, but air does leak when you put your hand up to the join.

any ideas on what i can do to help improve the situation.

ps. i will be converting the loft next yr, so this should help improve things a bit. the house is solid wall build in 1910.
