Hi
I am in the throes of draining, flushing and adding inhibitor to my heating system.
In the course of this I've realised that I may have a sticking three way valve. The actuator is removable so I've tried freeing it by gently rocking the valve itself back and forth but it seems to hit a hard stop where I think it should be at the HW/CW setting, i.e. the central point.
As the actuator is removable and I'm just about to put inhibitor in the system, which means a full system drain or two, I'd rather start off by replacing the valve body rather than the whole kit and caboodle.
I've been checking online and almost everywhere sells either the whole thing or just the actuator.
I can get the valve itself off ebay but due to work constraints I have a limited window of opportunity to get this sorted. Has anyone any idea where I might be able to get the valve body itself ? The actuactor seems to be fine it's the valve that seems to be the problem.
Oh - just realised - the reason I think the valve is sticking is that when the system is on HW cycle, the radiators get hot. However, when CH only is selected the water doesn't warm up.
