Drayton Mid Position Actuator MA1: the manual arm is stuck at "H"

I tried some lubrication with WD40 as described on some other forum, but the arm has not moved. The motor seems to make some movement sound every time DHW or Central Heating buttons on the control panel are switched on and off but the manual arm does not move, even when electric supply is switched off.
Needs replaced?
How does one take it off?
