Not one of my own disasters, but one that still brings a tear to the eye (of laughter).
I remember watching one lad on a job I was doing carefully drilling the metal back box for a fused spur, by holding said back-box on his thigh and drilling down. I was so incredulous that I couldn't say anything until he'd vented his thigh, then I was full of sympathy, as I rolled around on the floor laughing.
