How do you do this with out shattering the things?

IVe got a sds drill, did one and its cracked one, that was using the hammer option, with the hammer bit it doesnt go in!

should do it with an sds one, carefulyy and slowly. do it slightly off centre to miss the rebar. it will spall on the other side, unless you drill into the middle from both sides

My cordless did a dozen, just need a decent masonry bit, [maybe start with 4mm and open up to 6mm] most did not need hammer action.A large hole will split it regardless, what are you fixing?
