Hi

I have a frameless shower enclosure (800 x 800) and the instruction describes drilling the shower tray to fix a bracket so as to stop lateral movement on the side panel.

The door is hinged onto the side panel and there is a tie bar at the top.

I've rang a few tray manufacturers and they suggest it can be drilled but it will void the guarantee. Can any one recommend a manufacturer to use for this I.e you've drilled them before?

Thanks
Darren

I spoke to the manufacturer of the shower and as it is frameless and the door is hinged on the side panel in question they said it should be screwed. Not sure if they are being cautious as like you say once it's all silicones in together with the weight of the glass hopefully it won't move.

Just wondering whether drilling shower trays us a complete no no really.
