Hi,

Can you tell me if there is a special way/tool to drill tap holes in a bath. I have a non-standard space to fit a bath and the only baths I can find that will fit are supplied without the tap holes drilled.

I'm conserned that if I use a normal drill and hole cutter that the bath may shatter or chip.

Cheers!
Vince.

Use masking tape over the entire area of the hole(s)

Drill a hole a few mm smaller than the required finished size.

Open this hole to size using a fine rotary file.

Take it steadily..should be fine.

it might be better to fix a mixer tap to the wall above the bath as was probably intended for the style of bath you,ve chose.

Hi Vince, how did you get on? I have to do the same job myself and am looking for advice. I expect delivery tomorrow of my Ideal standard space saver bath and need to cut two holes for the taps.
Any tips more than welcome.
