Drilling Terrazzo Tiles

Evening all,

I need to lay a threshold strip where my carpet and terrazzo tiles meet.
Masonry drill bits on a hammer drill aren’t touching it.
What am I doing wrong? Help!

You need a diamond drill, but you also need to keep it wet to stop it overheating. A hammer drill won't do anything on Terrazzo tiles.

It operates more like a straight angle grinder, so run it on maximum speed and apply almost no pressure.
