Hi all.

Trust someone can assist. Photos are attached.

I have a Bristan Smile mixer tap which is dripping. If the tap is set to shower then it will drip from the shower head. Set it to bath, then from the spout.

I've only done a couple of tap repairs in the past and not familiar with mixer taps. Does anyone know what is causing the dripping. Also, how to remove the tap heads as I cannot find any screw holding them in place.

Thanks very much.
Dan.

Tudor its a possibility to exchange both tap inserts/cartridges but only buy oem parts not chinese imports. The tap handles may have a concealed (in soap/your dirt) allen key release screw. If not they pull off so you need to give them a good vertical tug :censored:.

Some imported taps have glued in inserts with thread seal and are a complete ballock-ache to remove = new tap time.

maybe consider a better quality mixer tap, like many items for sale in Uk some well known manufactures have chinese import budget options.not saying your product is a chinky import :cautious:. Have seen many of them generic products dripping on initial installation you get what you pay for.

Happy plumbing

Thanks for the replies.
Cannot find any grub screw on the tap so will see if I can pull them off vertically.
I was under the impression that Bristan was a decent make. Should I opt to replace the whole mixer tap then what manufacturers are you happy with? I can budget up to £200 for the replacement.

Thanks. Dan.
