Hi All,

Having a few issues as a result of taking off a radiator for some papering and to fit a new skirting board and would appreciate any help.

Central heating is a pressurised combi boiler - turned off the system and successfully removed the radiator. However, one of the radiator isolation valves was corroded so was letting out a steady trickle of water.

Managed to get this replaced as well but the end result is that the boiler is now dripping - not fast but a steady constant drip (filling a bucket every 24 hours). Other than this the system is working fine (hot water - the heating is off)

Any ideas what is causing this? And given there doesn't seem to be any other problems, is it likely to be resolved by putting the radiator back? I wanted to leave it off another couple of days until DIY project is done.

Cheers

What make and model of boiler :?:

Can you locate where the drip is comming from. Better still post a pic.

Andy.

Hi Andy

Boiler is a Ravensheat RSF84 ET. Been told by plumber/gasfitter before that they're not the best but been pretty much trouble free until now.

No picture as not at home (bravely left the otherhalf to monitor the situation and empty the bucket!) but the water was dripping from the bottom edge of the boiler in the middle. This is not far from several pipes, one of which is the loop to the water pipes for repressurising boiler. unsure on rest but presumably parts of heating and hot water circuits.

Cheers
