Afternoon all,
Back in November I bled the radiators for the first time (moved into a new house in July) which reduced the pressure in the boiler (down to under 0.5bar), so I repressurised it using the tap under the boiler.
However, the tap got suck, causing the pressue to go up over 4bar. I assume the Pressue Relief Valve kicked in, but instead of leaking out of the pipe to the outside the water leaked out of the bottom of the bouler, and continued to do this until the pressue was back down to normal. (I shut of the water, then removed the filler loop at this point, then fixed the stuck tap).
The boiler works perfectly, apart from the fact that it drips steadily from out of the bottom - Not alot but enough to require a bucket underneath, which gets a couple of mm in the bottom every couple of days or so. This obviously reduces the system pressure slowly but surely.
From reading stuff on here it seems like I've got a couple of problems
1. The Pressue Relief Valve isn't connected to the external pipe
2. I'll need a new PV.
Right, Wrong? Easy Job?
Cheers.
