The hot tap in my kitchen is dripping. When I apply pressure to the lever, it stops. Is there a part that I can just replace or do I need to replace the whole tap? I have included a photo reference for the type of tap it is and the inside.
You can replace the whole cartridge,if you know which one it is.There are a lot of different types.
Or you can just replace the ceramic disc for a couple of ££'s.
Do you know the model of tap ?
The valve bodies themselves should be standard 1/2" bsp valves - the key parts with them are the splines size (diameter and height) and the number of splines. So measure and count them, then go online. If they are Bristan then they should take the Bristan valves.
If not then they may be one of the universal sizes, as they look like contract type taps and you may be lucky. Worst case a reviver kit may be the answer.
