1 week ago, intermittent “drip” noise heard in bathroom coming from ceiling. Only thing in loft is vented shower extractor fan and flue for boiler. No sign of water ingress and no pipework or water tanks in loft. Tiles on roof look fine! Driving us mad Any ideas?

Borypops, good evening.

I assume you have had a look in the loft? and if there are no dark stains on the ceiling??

One possibility is that there is a loose bit of "something" that is flapping in the breeze inside the loft? giveb storm force winds outside, and depending on your properties exposure that is a possible cause?

Ken.

Is there roofing felt or membrane under the tiles? It may be windblown rain getting under the tiles & dripping onto the membrane, nothing to worry about as long as the membrane was put on properly (either a bit saggy between rafters or tight with counterbattens so any water hitting it can drain)
