When I first use the shower in the morning, there is a clicking or dripping noise. This is quite rapid at first, then say 30 seconds later, has slowed down significantly and finally stops completely, even though the shower is still on.

I assume this cannot be water dripping, as it would carry on throughout the shower and maybe a little afterwards. Is this the case? Could it just be expansion of the cold pipes as hot water starts flowing through them?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Kevplumb - is there any way I can stop this or quieten it down?

Never a truer word said in jest! I hadn't actually thought of that - I will run the shower cold and see if the noise is still there. If it is, I suppose I have a water leak problem.
