Hi,
I had a Gainsborough Ambassador exposed mixer shower unit fitted in September. It started dripping from the shower head at night shortly afterwards and the plumber has been out and indicated the problem is with the cartridge. The dripping appears more frequent now. It generally starts around 23:00 ish and continues into the night. We both shower in the morning so I would have thought that any water that was going to drip as a result of residue water would have already done so.
I have tried a few different tests to further convince myself. If I turn off the hot water supply into the shower but leave the cold water and it doesn't drip, however the opposite and it does drip which leads me to think its related to the hot water somehow.
I have rang Gainsborough and they have indicated that they dont think its a problem with the shower as it would drip all day if it was. Can anyone give me any advice as I don't know what to do now.
I live on the top of a bank and our cold water pressure is much lower than my parents so I don't believe its pressure related.
Thank you for your time.
