I am aware of rule 9 and so I will state details of a quote that I have had.

I am told that my drive and associated areas are 710 sq. mts. About 70% will be laid by machine, the rest hand ball. The contractor tells me that it will take 1-2 days to lay the tarmac.

For 80mm (50 + 30) I have been quoted £9,230.00 to supply and lay. For 100mm the price is £10,650.00 to supply and lay. Both figures are plus VAT.

All prepping work is being done by another party who knows what is required and the cost is not included in the above quotes..

How reasonable is this please ?

And can anyone tell me the approximate weight of a cu. mt. of tarmac please ?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
