Driveway Garage Ramp and DPC

Not quite sure on the best way to do this. The ramp up to the garage is alongside the house and extends above the house DPC. the builder left a gap between the ramp and house and no doubt aware of the issue filled the gap with pea shingle.

Not really ideal it gets full of weeds (mrs is a keen gardener and so we are species rich) and attracts more soil. Which soon goes over the DPC (by 2 bricks). The gap forms part of the drain lower down the drive.

Tempted to concrete in the gap to complete the drain. At the highest point the concrete will be 1/2 a brick below the DPC which isnt ideal but go to be better than 2 bricks above. We didnt have any amp problems before, but still want to fix the issue.

Any better idea.

shove some weed control fabric ito the hole and buy some very large pebbles.
once a year lift out the fabric and replace it

Hey TCR, i did consider that, i guess its possible. Discounted it on the maintenance aspect really.
