Driveway weed barrier options

I have a gravel driveway with a weed membrane layer underneath, unfortunately one section of the weed membrane is full of holes allowing weeds to grow through.

Are there any chemical options, something Bitumen I could use to seal the ground on the repair section rather than having to lift the whole driveway and start again?

its weed control not weed proof. Weed killer it twice a year, march and September we use gallup on our gravel drive that has no control layer and on a long path with, both are weed free.
