Hi,

Anyone experienced with dry-fit kitchen units? These are full assembled kitchen unit but not glued so you can take them apart, do alterations and then final glue them together. The benefit is you can do the alteration with flat bits of wood. It mainly used when you have major cuts to do not just making a slot for a pipe.

I wondered how easy it was to assemble a unit. There's not fittings to pull the carcass together so I assume a mallet and maybe some clamping will be needed. I reckon I'd do it with the unit flat on it's back. I think a large square might be useful to have and maybe some clamps or do I?

If they don't have any cams to pull them in, then they'll definitely needing gluing. Yes, you'll want a large woodworkers square to check they are true, and you can also measure them cross corner to corner to double check, and then carefully clamp them and double check they haven't moved.
