Dry ridge and cutting ridge felt

Hi, just had a dry ventilated dry ridge fitted. We had bitumen felt and not surprised that it needed a cut at the apex to allow for ventilation, but a little surprised at this much, is this usual, and I guess it's normal to see daylight which is where the air will flow?

I'm only a DIY'er, but that looks ok to me.
Do you know what kit they used?
The instructions will tell you how much felt to cut off.

And as in the video, if you have a tiled roof, there may be quite a lot of light coming in :)
 
Thanks, I'm not sure what system they installed but we've had our first rain and all seems ok, and the condensation is no more, so it's doing it's job!
