Hi all,
I'm after a little advice about what a roofer has done on my roof.
He was called in to cut back the breathable membrane either side of my tiled roof, so as to let the dry ridge do its job and breath when roof was replaced the roofer years ago just wrapped breathable membrane over apex.
This roofer originally replaced the ridge batten by nailing it to top of roof trusses, so I called him back and told him to re do the hob, but this time fit ridge batten onto the proper brackets. Now he has done that I can now see the dimensions of the ridge batten from inside the loft.
Ridge batten is 18mm x 38mm but the instructions for dry ridge system say ridge batten should be 25mm x 50mm
Whats the most often used size in the real world please.
Cheers
Craig
