Hello,

I have an old slate roof with thin slates of various sizes and trying to sort out the sides of the roof.
At the moment the problem is they have cut the slates flush with the side wall so there is no much of a verge really!.

They have installed a timber piece that finishes slightly above the slates and on the back there is a white fascia with an additional white corner trim.

The problem is the water in the corners keeps on wetting the timber make it rot.

Is there a dry verge system I can install on top without having to remove the slates and re-roofing.

One idea was to wrap the corner/edge of the roof in lead and then add on top something like:
DV9 Dry Fix Continuous GRP Face Fix Dry Verge for Scottish Slates - 3m

Would that work?

What's the best way to address this please?

Thanks
Yanni
