I've just had some walls plastered with 1) Thistle hardwall followed by 2) mutlifinish skim.

The total thickness is approx 25mm.

How long would you expect to leave it to dry before hanging a radiator?

It was done on Friday and the skim coat is already bright pink (the room has had a good airing ever since but no direct heating).

Thanks guys.

There is no definate drying time as the atmospheric conditions determine drying time,

Once your confident the skim has dryed properly (on average this is about a week), theres is no need to worrry about the hardwall underneath as this should have dried out before the skim was applied.

you can hang the radiator now but if it doesnt need turning on i would leave it aslong as you can.

Would second that; it's summer (or supposed to be  ), hang the rad but turn it off till next winter, the plaster will dry out nice & slow with, hopefully, no cracks at all.
