I've run out of drywall screws and would rather not have to nip out tomorrow to get some more. I have plenty of other types of screws, chipboard screws, zinc coated screws. Are these suitable to use or do you have to use drywall screws?

for the sake of a couple of quid and an hour i would go and get them you dont want any rust marks showing through.
