I have a honeywell G2 system with majority of sensors wired, but i have 1 wireless PIR DT8M.
For some random reason i walked into the room with the wireless PIR sensor and noticed on movement that the red LED was no longer lighting up.
I went into zone walk test and set active, however one movement I get no alert that the detector has detected me.
I can fully set the system without any issues.
Surely if the sensor is not connected properly the panel should be reporting a fault or missing device?
It's only been installed about a year with new batteries at install, so could anyone shed any light on this for me?
Seems that when the system is set , the detector would not detect motion and cause an intruder alarm.
Thanks.

They do go to sleep, try putting the system into walk test, don't walk in front of the detector for about 5 minutes, then try to trigger it again.

So would it still activate as an intruder zone when the system is set? I didn't want to try it and annoy the neighbours!

If you set your alarm system and then trigger that zone it would prove if it was working or not.
Give you piece of mind.
