Hi Guys....

My mate wants to put in an en - suite to his main bedroom, plus open up the loft space for use as another bedroom / study....

He has already begun to do the new study / bedroom central heating runs etc..and has duly noted the LBA...that work has commenced...

I think the preferred way to supply this would be a 10mm T&E feed to a mini CU which would be housed under the new stairwell - this would eventually feed the new shower and the new areas....

I obviously need to check the main supply capability of sufficient power to allow for this.....but if things are too tight regarding the mains.....are there alternatives for interlocking showers etc.....so only one could be used at one time.....advice great welcomed.....

I would have thought having another consumer unit alongside your existing one. You would need another set of tails joined together via a henly block.

Then take the new shower from here, and anything else.

It's a fairly simple circuit to use two contactors with NC auxilliary contacts to implement a "first come, first serve" capability. But you would be reliant on the users turning off at the DP [pull] switches when they had finished.
