Hi

I am spec'ing a ducted aircon system for my house (primarily for cooling). The system will be verified / installed / commissioned by an HVAC engineer holding the correct certificates.

There is an abundance of info on the Internet regarding spec'ing the cooling capacity/kw, however I need some help with the grilles.

As I understand it for each room being cooled, there must be both an air ‘outlet’, and an air ‘inlet’. Does this hold true for all sized rooms? As I have some very small rooms.

Regarding the grilles themselves, both outlet and inlet. How do I size them? I assume the calculation incorporates air flow as well as room size?

Also, assuming a perfectly square shaped room or a perfectly shaped rectangular room, what is the ideal location for both the outlet and inlet grille? Centre of room? Corner of room? Near the wall?

I can provide room dimensions if required, I just wanted to keep the initial posting short :)

Hoping there are some HVAC engineers on here who can help!

Thanks
