Ducting a water supply

I'm in the process of laying a new lead replacement water supply down my drive. I've ducted the entry into the house using 110mm soil pipe but what is best to use for the rest of the length? There is a gentle 90deg bend in the pipe route.

63mm blue twinwall seems perfect, but I'm trying to keep a tight rein on costs and I can only find that stuff in 50m lengths (4x what I need).

Does it have to be blue like the pipe? Are there any other suitable options anyone has used?

At a guess, you are replacing lead with 25mm MDPE pipe, which should be between 750mm and 1350mm deep, 350mm from other services, a look at united utilities website has a good description of what is required!

As long as the pipe is between the required depth then ducting is required, just back fill about an inch above pipe with sharp sand and seal the 4" ducting at both ends with, silicone sealant!

"Service pipes should be laid below any gas pipes, electricity and telephone cables and above any drains or sewers.
If the service pipe passes under a foul sewer for any reason it must be ducted for a metre either side."

I can't go over the drain as it would bring the pipe above 750mm so I have to go under it I think, hence the question about ducting.

Yes if the drain leaks the waste water can penetrate through and you might end up drinking unwholesome water! If it went over the drain how far down would that take the pipe at the highest point?

I can measure properly tonight, but in one place about 700mm and another maybe 4-500?

I should say though, that going above that second drain I mentioned would take me too close to my gas pipeline.

Quick update:Severn Trent engineer visited this morning and said there was no need to duct under the clay pipes so problem solved .
