I'm overpaying with Dulux quick dry satinwood. It suggests applying two coats. Should I lightly sand between coats, as the instructions do not suggest this, and I have not worked with satinwood before?

if the surface is smooth enough, there is no need to sand between coats. The Armstead Water based satin is much better, also made by Dulux. Get in Dulux Decorator Center or Screwfix.

Predictive text strikes again. I actually meant "over painting", although I probably am over paying as well. Thanks for the reply.
