Hi, need to paint the gable woodwork.

I had been looking at Dulux Weathershield Quick Drying Satinwood, but it seems it is water based.

The Dulux Solvent Based Satinwood is for interior only ?

Which will last longer, living down by the sea the weathering is quite heavy.

Cheers

Don't know about dulux satinwood, the manufacturer's website should clarify, but you should use an oil based paint designed for exterior use and prepare the timber appropriately including primer/undercoat depending on its condition.

If you search on this site you will find what professional decorators use.

I've used both and the water based is the better of the two in my experience. A joy to use, quick re-coat time, and there's fascia's I've used it on in black ten years ago that still look pristine.
