I've filled up the disc, put the thing back in the player, but I can't record on it, what's the answer?

Jeez, never heard of an rrw, what's the difference between that n a RW disc?

rrw is write/rewrite rw is write only
Are you having him on?

I've never heard of a rrw too. RW should do as it says, re-write up to approx. 1000 times.
DVD-(+)R = Recordable
DVD-(+)RW - Re-writable (see above)

DIYedboy; You sure you 'player' can record on it. Is it the same one you recorded the info on in the first place?
Its possible that you 'finalised' the disk, thus making it un-writable any more?

Kjacko, The machine is the one that recorded onto the disc in the first place, I don't think I finalised the disc, but I have no idea how to 'finalise', so it's possible that I might have pressed the wrong button on the remote accidentaly...........................so, how does one 'finalise' a disc?

Finalising is usually done on 'R' discs, as in DVD-R, where you can keep adding data to the disk at different times until its full. But at any time you can choose to 'finalise' the disk which means nothing else can be written to it, whether you have 1mb on it or its damn near full, once finalised it cannot be written to again.
Its usually a check box option in your settings.

Sorry please ignore what I said, not sure what came over me this morning, must be the new blood pressure tablets. :?

I've got the answer......................................when the disc is full, keep it in the machine, go into edit and click on 'erase all' :D
