I’ve had a Floureon dvr for a while and it’s gone. So had a Swann dvr and changed it over , Only one camera is working ? Does anyone know if there is a setting what needs to be changed and if so where can I find it !thanks

5 are the same and one is a ptz camera .It’s one of the 5 what is working.

okay, do the other 4 work on the same connection (same channel)?

or nothing at all?

thats not what I asked.

you have 1 camera working on one channel. You have 5 of these cameras.

do all the cameras work on that channel, its important, as it establishes where we look next.

what models are the cameras and what model is the original DVR and what is the model of the replacement DVR.

remember I dont have this information, so I am going through a process to identify where the issues are and establish facts about how things are working.

analogue cameras come in many different variants, so knowing the camera model helps to know what options are available on that camera.
Knowing the DVR models helps with knowing the capability of the DVRs.

1 camera out of 5 working on one working channel, the first quick test is using the same channel for one of the other cameras.
Note we dont want to plug in multiple units just yet, just establish that all 5 cameras can and do work on that one channel of the DVR.

Once we have all the cameras working on that channel we can look at getting them to work on other channels.

when the old DVR stopped functioning what happened?

Whilst its not impossible for each camera to be configured differently, in terms of resolution or technology type its unusual, as most set it to the max resolution that works and most individuals are unlikely to change the technology type, as this can limit the camera.

So the old dvr hard drive went (tried in others ) didn’t work ! So left it running till new one arrived.it then just died no pics nothing . Tried on really old dvr with no name and all apart from the one working now worked .Put the Swann on and only the one works . I personally think they’re not compatible .
