My gas meter is on an outside wall in a box.

The 10mm2 cable ends inside the aforementioned box. Should I use an external or internal clamp?

If you want to keep up with your neighbour, i would use a bit of wet string.

I'd go with an external one. Even though it's in the box, it will still get a bit damp at times.

Afterall the cost difference is minimal and it's not really something you want to fail!

Is the neighbour of the beast his henchman like the chancellor of the exchequer living next to the PM, or do the good guys like to move in next to the bad ones so they can keep an eye on them?

It is perfectly acceptable to bond the gas pipe where it enters the property, in which case an EC14 is fine.

Oh, I thought it had to be within 600mm of the meter.

But I believe you. Thanks. :D
