Earth Fault Switch keeps tripping

hi guys....the "earth fault switch" keeps tripping on my Crabtree consumer unit...this has happened about 4 times in the last day or so...prior to this i never had a problem.....the only thing i can think of is that i was working in the kitchen loft space taking some pipes through to the bathroom for the bath and sink...there is wiring in the kitchen roof space, ie sockets, lighting etc.....but i made sure that they never touched the pipe and im pretty sure i have not damaged any wiring.....all the power to the sockets goes off...the lighting is fine.....any help please as im a bit concerned ...cheers

Keep a diary of when it goes off.

You need to try & isolate the fault, but how easy that will be depends on whether it's a L/E or an N/E fault & whether it becomes more frequent.
