Hi all has anyone ever used one of these http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MTETC.html , if so do they sink flush with the ground or stick out, or can you recommend a flush fitting one.

They can be fitted flush to the ground, but do not provide enough strength for mechanical protection. They are more suited in say your flowerbed, not a footpath. You need one like this

I've got one fitted in my driveway to earth a metal antenna mast. The boxes aren't particularly big at all, and they certainly aren't flimsy. I've sunk mine flush into the concrete and would have no problems walking or driving a car over it.
