Easy Discrimination Quiz

Well Iggifier is the winner with:
1. (5A plug fuse); and
3. 20 A MCB
That's a bit of a 'let down', since it is what one would expect to be one of the most likely answers - with these quizzes, one 'expects the unexpected' (probably the DNO fuse and nothing else :-) ).

Kind Regards, John

Out of interest, the DNO fuse is a 60 A 88-3 type.
(I have X-ray vision)

That was why the first half of my answer was 'None of the above'

Sorry John! Next time I'll try and get my tails caught up in a jigsaw.

Indeed, 'None of the above' (or. more spectacularly, 'All of the above'!) would be more what one would expect when the question appeared in a 'quiz' like this!

If it were a real-world question, I suspect that most of us would have said that '1 and/or 3' was the most likely, although would probably qualify that by saying that almost anything was possible.

Kind Regards, John

Please Sir, John should have detention because he copied off me and that's not fair Sir.

Careful ... if you keep going on about copying, it might be you who gets the detention for thinking that 'hedge cutter' is the correct spelling of 'lawnmower'!!

Kind Regards, John

That old hedge cutter is now in purgatory (garage) waiting to be dumped. It was a mercy killing. Couldn't cope with hawthorn.
The shiny new 2-stroke petrol hedge cutter is much better!

Detention will be lines. 100 copies of this:

"The thing is, the work you plan to do is not trivial, and I can assure you that it involves knowing far more than you think it does.
Asking questions here can be a useful part of a learning process, but they are not a substitute for proper structured studying. The key term there is "learning process" - you cannot learn all the things you need to know just by asking questions here. It isn't structured enough - it won't provide you with a way to progress where each step builds on what you learned before.
You can't carry out a job of this magnitude by asking whatever random questions happen to occur to you. What if you get something wrong because you have no idea your knowledge is wrong? What if you miss something because you simply have no idea it even exists, and just don't realise you don't know it?"

result of the cliche hedge-trimmer-cut-through-flex accident
Bit late but my answer was going to be that nothing blew, the end of the cable went into roman candle mode. The molten copper set fire the the hedges and the fire trimmed them down to ground level.

Then I woke regretting having eaten a wdege of St Agur on hot toast as a bedtime snack..
