Easycove - Painting Tips Please

Well I have just finished painting my newly plastered room and realised that the finish was just not as crisp as I would like (painting wise) so I have purchased some Easycove . I really need to know 2 things

1) What paint can be used on this - it has no info on the packaging
2) Can this be painted before it goes up - I have just painted the walls and its a very deep colour, the last thing I want is to get white paint on a dark wall.

Your tips would be appreciated.

Easy cove is the PU foam with paper over isn't it. You will have to do some repainting of your walls i'm afraid, I apply this coving with decorators caulk myself as it is so light and the caulk has a bit of give in it.

Once you apply the caulk to the coving and ease it into place some will come out from behind the coving onto the wall / ceiling, i wipe this away and then run a bead along the length on the ceiling and wall and push it in with my finger then wipe the joins with a damp sponge. You can paint with emulsion straight ontop then but will have to cut in your walls again upto the coving.
