Hi all

We're having our loft done and we were planning on having some draw units and cupboards built into the dead space behind the dwarf wall.

The builder has told us that the doors and draw fronts will have to be fire check as that part of the loft behind the cupboards will not be fire proofed at all. Apparently this is a new reg?

We would like to have veneered draw fronts and doors.

Does anyone know if I could plasterboard the floor and rafters in the eaves with fire check plasterboard to satisfy this reg?

Thanks in advance

The builder is a numpty, unless for some peculiar reason you intend on leaving the floor & the plasterboard out in the ceiling under the wardrobes and there is no issue.
