I noticed this Turkish company selling cheap combis. But...the spec is very high using quality components. They look good:

ECA Confeo:

• Sedbuk A
• Stainless Steel Giannoni Isotherm Heat Exchanger
• Built in Filling Loop
• Salus RT500RF Wireless Thermostat Included
• Pre-Wired Mains Lead
• Quality German PCB, Gas Valve and Fan
• Built in 2 Stage Frost Protection
• Grundfos pump

Anyone had any experience of them?

Does it make a kebab after a night on the tiles?

I bet its useless.....Ive come accros a combi called 'The Squirral' from China. looked good on paper but shocking in build quality. Look out for them early next year. they are set for a RRP of £320 inc VAT. Mr Landlord is gonna be a happy man.

ECA boiler looks very similar to a potty He boiler. To be honest it looks like 75% of boilers on the market, gianonni HE and a mix of honeywell bits and grundfos or wilo hydroblocks, Industry is getting boring again
Dunno where they come from, but Heatline are turkish and owned by vaillant group who are german, could be and probably is a coincidence.
Salus controls are cheap tat.

The main components are quality.

Silly landlords. A landlord is best buying the likes of an Atmos. They are super reliable and do not go wrong. That is what landlords need.

At the price they are asking, for a quality make-up kit combi it may be worth buying.

I agree at a good price it would make a good option for a budget boiler. I would however want to know how easily I could source the boiler specific spares(pcb's mainly). I would choose a remeha avanta over this though, as it is also well priced and comes with a 5yr guarantee with pretty much the same bits inside.

Just 'cos it says Grunfoss doesn't mean a lot. I've seen some very sub standard Grundfoss pumps that appeared to be made to a lower spec....and I don't believe they were fakes.

Germany doesn't do quality anymore....arrogant design has lead to many design faults....and many so called German products are manufactured in Poland/Spain etc. Bosch hobs...all Italian underneath, fridge/freezers...Malaysian...etc etc.

Hi all

I have just had an ECA combi fitted by my mate who is a corgi
installer about 2 months ago, so far we have been very pleased with it,
water seems to come out quicker and give more hot water than our old
one. Originally was going to have a vaillaint fitted, but my mate has
just started using these alot due to the price and has been very
impressed with the quality, says it was much better than the usual
cheapies.

I did have one problem where a fault code 40 came up, but went to the
ecaheating web site self help section which told me how to increase the
system pressure back up and the boiler started running again.

So far very pleased
