The timed economy7 controller supplying our immersion heater has stopped working. There's still power to the controller, the immersion still works on boost, but the dial of the timer doesn't go round so the immersion doesn't switch on at night.

It's a fairly old unit so may just be best to replace it. But before I do, any other ideas about what might be the problem ? Could it just be that the rechargeable battery has gone, or does that only kick in during power cuts ?

All help much appreciated.

Have you checked the 13amp Fuse in the Night Immersion Fuse Connection Unit?

If you mean the fuse on the main supply to the controller, yes that's fine

Motor gone squit.

Find your local Newey and Eyre, they do these units under their brand name from stock.
