Hello Can someone please advise, recently in this forum i read that there is a statutory obligation placed upon the electriicty supplier,to supply and install where appropriate,an earth connection.
There are a least 100 and more sections to the act,can anyone point me in the right direction please

The electricity suppliers have no obligation to supply an earth, they only have to maintain an existing earth terminal.

If no earth is supplied by the DNO then it is the responsibility of the consumer (or the electrician working on their behalf) to provide the earth terminal.

What I mean is, if the DNO did not provide the earth terminal in the first place (eg TT), then they have no responsibility to maintain it.

Yeah, sorry that is what I meant, just didn't word it very well :(

Good to see Uncle Secure keeping us youngsters in check
