The control unit for our Homefront electric blanket .. 5 pin ACHPFD Aug 2011 .. has packed up. No life at all, not a flicker. Changing fuse made no difference. Ebay chappie says if the unit is dead he can't repair it ! Homefront have no idea when a replacement unit will be available, if at all .. not a lot of use.
So........
Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that can repair it ? It can be posted so no problem there. I have tried local outlets/electrical shops etc but no joy.
Seems a shame to have to get a complete blanket just because the controller is broken.

Cheers
Brian.

Chuck it out get a new one, Cheaper than paying for rebuilding a burnt down property or losing a life.

It is recommended to replace electric blankets after 5 or 10 years of use.

Repair is not advisable other than by the maunfacturer who will know the critical components that require to be replaced like for like.

It is also recommended by Fire Safety that Electric Blankets should have a yearly Safety Check .
